Mod  Squad

We're the ones who like learning about modern quilting and art quilting.

Here's a design board with blocks that were turned in at a recent meeting of the Mod Squad.  Can you spot the common element that was the starting point for all these blocks?  They'll all be used in the same charity quilt.  We meet the 4th Monday morning of the month. at 10a.m. Lately, we're meeting virtually, via Zoom.  Contact Karen Laird at k.laird@att.net if you're interested in joining us, and she'll add you to the email list.  Our recent learning experiences, provided by our members included: Exaggerated Scale, Alternate Grid Work, and Magic Triangle.  Does it sound daunting? It did to me, too, until our presenters researched it, showed us YouTube videos, and gave us some examples. Then it became fun!

This is the charity quilt from MOD squad monthly challenge blocks. I call it satellite view. We got the airport, the park, the mall, the railroad and the open fields.
